What began as a humble venture on Apollo Street, Fort, with just two partners, has blossomed into a family of 22 partners and over 100 staff, weaving its way across borders to touch lives in the India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. His tenure as the President in 1999-2000 and his six consecutive terms as a Council member (1982-2001) bear witness to a life devoted to the betterment of the accounting community. Chhajed & Doshi ("C&D"), a legacy spanning five decades unfolds – a tale of dedication, expertise, and a profound commitment to the values of Auditing, Taxation, and Advisory Services.

The firm was established in 1964 by Late Shri S.P. Chhajed, who was;

Sohanraj Pukhrajji Chhajed, the visionary force behind this remarkable journey, embodied not just the spirit of a Chartered Accountant, but the essence of humanity itself. As the Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he left an indelible mark characterized by simplicity, spontaneity, and forthrightness. His unwavering belief in ethical practices became the guiding light for the entire profession.

His legacy lives on with the dynamic leadership of the second generation Mahendra Chhajed and Piyush Chhajed. As values and vision continues, they seamlessly carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit into the third generation.
